Pete's Apizza in Clarendon

Over the long weekend, I finally caught up with some girlfriends for some one-on-one time. While it's fun to have group gatherings, it's really good to take time to reconnect. Caught up with J in Clarendon. Instead of our normal talk-n-trot, the weather forced us to head to brunch instead. Clarendon's changed remarkably in the last 6 months, with a plethora of new restaurants and multi-use buildings opening up. Unfortunately Cava was closed, but Pete's Apizza was just around the corner.
White pizza with arugula, tomatoes, parmesan cheese and spicy sausage.
This pizza is extremely large in size with a nice thin crust. The flavor was very good, although our sausage add-on was super small. It's an odd mixture of fast-ish casual, where you order and pay at the register, and the salads and pie are delivered to your table with the order number on a table holder. This pizza really incredibly large. We ate two pieces each, and then took three slices home each. Really like this location more than the original in Columbia Heights and it was so good to chat with my friend while trying a new addition to the neighborhood.
