Gyudon at Home

While we intended to buy gyu-tan from Super H and have yakiniku at home, the prospect of slicing a whole massive cow's tongue did not appeal to me, and we could no find any pre-sliced packages.  We picked up a package of sliced beef tender instead and I made bowls of gyudon with oyster and enoki mushrooms, jalapeno and onions.
A little too thickly sliced compared to the shaved beef bowls from Yoshinoya, the flavor of ginger, soy and mirin was comforting.
Fresh daikon salad with bean sprouts and cilantro.
