Okonomiyaki and Gyoza Party

Cold beer is essential.
Edamame - boiled and salted.
Otsumame: Wasabi peas, nori-wrapped senbei, and kaki no tane (peanuts and rice crackers).
Handmade pork and vegetable gyoza (cabbage, scallions, ginger, garlic, carrots).

Handmade yasai gyoza (vegetable dumplings) with cabbage, carrot, ginger, garlic, scallions, and soft tofu.
Teppanyaki pan-fried gyoza. Round-shape are vegetable, the others are a pork-vegetable mix.
Mixed seafood, grilled pork belly and pickled ginger okonomiyaki pancake (made with cabbage, scallions, egg, mixture of flour and dried nagaimo (taro root) and water).

Finished Okonomiyaki with okonomiyaki sauce, Japanese mayonnaise, katsuobushi and aonori (dried bonito flakes and seaweed).
Wonderful time cooking Japanese foods with friends. Okonomiyaki is great because you customize it with the things you particularly like. The savory cabbage pancakes are a great base for anything from cheese to seafood, pork, yakisoba, or kimchee.
